Seisenberg was painted during an artist residency in Žužemberk, Slovenia. Seisenberg is the old German name for the town, which is how the artwork got its title.
The painting depicts a reinterpretation of a door knocker that the artist saw at Žužemberk Castle. The colors are highly saturated, and the shapes are almost graphic. The painting is strongly divided into two sides, with different colors used on the left and right. The result is a flat, colorful, pop-art-like portrait of a sad lion.
