Metka is a cow from a Slovene farm included in the triptych titled "Feeding Time" which captures the cows in the original barn setting during their dinner. Ješe has spent quite a lot of time with these subjects and got to know them quite well. She also named them, since they didn't have any names before she started painting them.
This heifer is the daughter of Doly, the one on the left side of the group, and has a nice and calm character. Even when she fully grew up she remained a small and skinny cow but always gave birth to fine and healthy calves. She's about 10 years old now and the only one still alive from the entire series.
