Ješe spent a significant amount of time with cows and bulls, getting to know them well. She also named them, as they had no names before she began painting them. This particular calf was very gentle and friendly. He was the son of another cow portrayed in the series, Admirala.
 
The painting was initially created in realistic colors but was later reworked with vibrant hues, with the help of the artist’s two young nieces. This transformation brought a sense of freshness and freedom of expression, capturing a childlike spirit.
