Originating from the Lipica Stud Farm in Slovenia, they are famous for their role in classical dressage and are often seen in performances showcasing advanced equestrian skills. These horses are particularly recognized for their ability to perform high-level movements like the "capriole," seen in the painting, when the horse jumps high in the air and kicks with its hind legs.
