Holy Cow and Marcvs Through the Golden Curtain feature a true depiction of a mother cow with her baby calf. The painting is cut so that the 100% golden silk curtain could be stretched and applied to it. The golden leaf on the painting is genuine 22-carat gold.
 
Ješe spent quite a lot of time with the depicted bovine subjects and got to know them well. She also named them, as they didn’t have names before she started painting them.
 
This particular cow was not very friendly, and the little calf, Marcvs, lived only for a couple of days. That is why Ješe decided to paint it in a way that makes it look like it's disappearing into the golden shower above its head.
